What you will do

You’ll play a key role in shaping and evolving our Cloud Platform — bringing fresh ideas, driving innovation, and ensuring everything we build is secure, scalable, and future-ready.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Design, build, and own our cloud infrastructure, ensuring it’s robust, efficient, and reliable.

• Automate everything — develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.

• Secure our foundation by implementing cloud security best practices and compliance standards.

• Evolve our CI/CD pipelines to make deployments faster, safer, and smoother.

• Collaborate closely with engineers across teams to translate needs into scalable infrastructure solutions.

• Stay one step ahead by monitoring system health and proactively tackling potential issues before they impact users.

Who you are

You’re a hands-on cloud engineer who loves solving complex challenges and building systems that just work — at scale. You combine deep technical know-how with curiosity, ownership, and a collaborative mindset.

You bring

• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud-based (specifically, Azure) systems.

• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

• Solid experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.

• A strong understanding of cloud security principles and practical experience applying them.

• An AI-savvy mindset — you’re comfortable leveraging modern tools and automation to boost efficiency.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

• Nice to have: Experience with AWS.

• Nice to have: Experience with Ansible.

Security Clearance: This position involves work within highly regulated public sector environments. As such, candidates must be eligible for a high-level security screening (VGB Level B). To meet the criteria for this screening, Dutch nationality and a long-term residency history in the Netherlands are mandatory requirements.
